10 of the Hottest Movies For 2010

Here is a list with some of the hottest movies for this year and I personally recommend watching at least 5 of them, because they are worth it.

1. Repo Men – The plot is set in the near future when our lives are improved by a company called “The Union”. The company manufactures highly sophisticated mechanical organs, which allows us to live longer. However, those organs are really expensive and when you do not pay your bill on time, the company sends its repossession men to collect them. Remy, played by Jude Law, is one of the best repo men of “The Union”, but he suffers from a heart attack while doing his work and he ends up fitted with one of the best artificial hearts and he has to pay for it. However, his new heart makes him unable to do his work properly and he is unable to pay his bills on time. You have to watch that movie for sure and I have to say that you will keep your eyes on the screen all the time.

2. Inception – Imagine a world, where someone can enter your mind when you sleep and steal some of your most well guarded secrets. Inception is a movie where you will meet with one of the most skilled thieves of that world – Dom Cobb. Although, it might sound that Cobb has everything he had ever dreamed of, his rare ability cost him everything that he had ever loved and made him international fugitive. In this movie you will watch Cobb trying to accomplish his last task – to plant an idea in someone’s mind, which can lead to the perfect crime. However, nothing is as easy as it seems….

3. Clash of the Titans – the movie is set in the ancient Greek town of Argos, where the men start to wage war against the gods. The only person, who can help the men in their quest, is the mortal son of Zeus – Perseus. In the movie you will be involved in an epic quest where Perseus will discover a way to defeat one of the mightiest monsters of the underworld – the Kraken.

4. Robin Hood – Although, this seems as another remake of the popular legend, the director Ridley Scott had taken the story to a whole new level. In the movie you will learn the story of a noble archer in the army of King Richard the Lionhearted, who returns to England after the king, dies in France. The name of that archer is Robin Longstride and on his way home, he encounters the dying knight – Robert of Locksley and promises him to return his sword to his father – Walter in Nottingham. However, on his way, Robin decides to impersonate the dead knight and prevent the confiscation of his land by the crown.

5. The Wolfman – When the moon is full, you will see the legend coming to life. The movie will take you to a small town in the England countryside at the end of the 19^th century. Lawrence Talbot was living in America until his brother’s fiancée tracks him down to get his help to find her love. However, when Lawrence arrives in England, the mauled body of his brother is found in the woods and he starts searching for his killer. It seems that Lawrence’s brother was not killed by human, but by a monster. However, everyone knows that monsters do not exist or do they…..

6. Alice in Wonderland – A decade ago Alice left the magical world and left all her friends there. Now Alice is 19 years old and had almost forgotten the amazing experience that she had there, but one of her friends visits her and she learns that it is once again time to visit Wonderland to fill one last task – to end the reign of terror of the Red Queen. Join Alice and her friends in an epic quest to set free all inhabitants of the Wonderland.

7. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time – For so many years there were many rumors claiming that there will be a movie following up the game Prince of Persia and I have to say that at last the time has come. With that movie you will be able to join a young prince in his quest to stop a villain from destroying his world. I personally recommend you watch this epic adventure and “defy the future”…

8. Takers – This appears to be one of the hottest movies for September this year. In it you will see a team of bank robbers making one heist after another, until one of the members suggests they strike an armored car carrying 20 million dollars. Although, it seems that the police is way behind them, a police officer is inches closer to apprehending the criminals.

9. Toy Story 3 – Once again you can join the most popular toys in the world in their adventures. This time, the toys are mistakenly delivered to a day care center instead on the attic, just a couple of days before Andy leaves to college. Its up to Woody to convince all the other toys that they are not abandoned by Andy and find a way to take them back home.

10. The Expendables – If you are a fan of action movies, where you hear gunshots all the time, this is your best choice. In that movie you will be able to watch some of the most popular movie stars in the world such as Sylvester Stallone, Steve Austin, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Bruce Willis teamed up as a group of ruthless mercenaries. Their mission is to kill a merciless dictator of a small South American island. Who says that action movies are dead?

If for some reason you are not able to visit the cinema to watch those movies, stop worrying, because soon they will be broadcast on TV. However, to get the best you must have satellite TV (in Danish the term is sattelit TV) subscrption and HDTV.
