7.       The Matrix (1999) – the original Matrix movie was actually worth watching , which can hardly be said for the sequels, but still it’s a very nicely thought off universe, where people actually live in a simulation made by machines, which use humans as a power source. Main character Neo is supposed to be the chosen one , who is one day going to end the reign of the machines. One of the essential anti-utopic movies ever made.

8.      Avatar (2009) – one of the most recent additions, this one is full of amazing special effects, but also has a somewhat decent story – a man who was crippled during the many wars humans have fought in space , has the opportunity to fill the body of a Na’vi – a tribal race on a planet called Pandora. The movie continues further and shows how narrow minded human thinking is.

9.      Starship Troopers (1997) – made by director Paul Verhoeven ,  Starship Troopers takes you to a situation where humans have been invaded by creepy and horrifying space bugs. The entire story revolves around the extermination of the bugs and the efforts human have to make to get rid of them.
